"business continuity" Other forms?

Is there an issue or trick with the module 6 practice activity to enter the other forms of "business continuity" ?

I've tried entering a number of more- and less-likely forms, I've tried deleting the plural forms on the off-chance that this phrase was considered to not have a plural, and nothing works.

Based on the guidance on plurals, we should have either

business continuities / business continuity's / business continuities'

or just business continuity's as the possessive, with no plural forms. I've also tried the "wrong" spellings (business continuitys ...) just to see if there was a glitch. Everything comes back as "wrong answer".

I'm ready to give up - but the "Show correct answer" link is inactive, so I'm literally stuck in the task.  Any help?

I am struggling with the definition for business continuity.  I found the definition in ISO to be as listed below but this definition is not accepted

"capability of the organization to continue delivery of products or services at acceptable predefined levels following disruptive incident"

I have been using Internet Explorer.  Tried again in Chrome after struggling for 40 minutes and it accepted the definition 1st try.  I would recommend switching to Chrome if you are not already using it.

Hi Paul, did you select the ISO definition from the list of existing definitions? It is at the very bottom. If you tried to add the ISO text as a new definition, but it was already in the system, I imagine you'd get an error ....

Many thanks, Paul! There did seem to be some sort of glitch involved as well - I thought I had tried that combination previously with no luck. I tried it again now - still not accepted! Finally, I exited the task, then got back in - and finally it worked! whew ...

Hi Greg and Paul,

We are still working on resolving compatibility issues with IE, until we resolve the issues we recommend using Chrome or Firefox.

It sounds as if you two were eventually able to complete this task.

Let us know if you experience any other issues or have any other questions.

Greg- what browser were you using while having issues with the "Show correct answer" link? Below is an image of what is supposed to appear when you click the "Show correct answer".

"Hi Vicki, Thanks for noticing this possible bug in the middle of my content issue!

I am using Google Chrome: Version 58.0.3029.110 (64-bit)

Yes, I was able to get through the question thanks to Paul's tip here ... but the "Show correct answer" link never worked for me,  both for this question and for others where I had tried it.

The visible behavior was that my cursor would change when I moused over the "Show correct answer" text, indicating that it was being recognized as a link, but nothing happened when I clicked on it.  (no popups; nothing changed on the screen).  All other popups seem to be working as I expected  (e.g. the "found exact match for term" popup.

I'm happy to help with further testing on my end if you'd like to isolate this issue.

Another possible issue I faced (which may also be Chrome-related?) was that Module 6, part 6 never fully loaded for me - it hung on the "spinner" icon while it was trying to load the welcome page. There was a thin orange bar across the bottom of the page. (see image below)  However, it did register as "viewed" in the course catalog so I was able to complete the course.  (I did not yet try to load this module in other browsers, but I will check that as soon as I can).

Hi Greg,

For the issue regarding the "Show correct answer" link being inactive:

  1. What kind of add-ons in Chrome do you have if any?

We are having difficulty replicating the issue on our end.
Our developers have suggested to try using incognito mode or a manual cache clear.

Let us know if either of these solutions do not work.

Thanks!

Hi Vicki,

I've done some testing - and I'm now able to see the correct answer popup (in both incognito and normal mode).  I think the issue is that my instance of Chrome had been running for many days without restarting (which I rarely do since I don't have issues with it).   As part of my testing I ended up restarting - and then found that the issue was no longer present - even with all my extensions and developer mode enabled (as it had been previously).

So you can close this issue. Thanks!
