What happens when a New Control request is cancelled?

When a New Control request is cancelled, it is sent back to the project mapper as a tagging task. The reason the request was cancelled will be provided in the task Messages feature.

Follow the instructions provided by the UCF Control writing experts such as, re-tag the mandate, add a new term, update term relationships, etc.

If the Citation contains multiple mandates, only the mandate tied to the New Control request will be affected. This means, only the mandate tied to the will be provided in the tagging task. So, if the instructions say to re-tag the citation only re-tag the mandate provided in the task.

Be sure to communicate with the reviewer and approver in your project that the Citation is being sent through again from a cancelled New Control request, so there is no confusion on why only one mandate is tagged.
